Sonicbids Submission Review

The window for submitting to the compilation album has closed.Very pleased with over 400 submissions we received. That was definitely more than I had expected. No complaints from here. Now we begin the process of reviewing all of the entries. I am going to enjoy this because this is the beginning stages of constructing the album. I pretty much have my Executive Producer hat on. Although my passion is Hip-Hop music, this album will be far from a Hip-Hop album. If I and my one man A&R team do this correctly, this album will be a cohesive blend of multiple genres. Stay tuned for updates and if you would like to contribute to the process of completing this album, you can do so via Kickstarter or Rocket Hub

Start Kicking!

Kickstarter Approved
I am happy to say the Live Through Music Project has been approved for funding via kickstarter.com. We are going through the process of setting the parameters and will have our kickstarter page up soon. The sonicbids submissions have exploded since our last post and I am happy to say that there are some pretty good tracks in the pool. We will begin to contact selected artists during the second half of February.

Help Us Fuel This Project!

Hello,

I am happy to report that we have confirmed two more up and coming artists for this project. I am looking forward to working with them and assisting in nurturing their career. Though we are making progress in the procurement of artists, we are lacking in the area of marketing dollars to increase visibility and awareness of this great project. In short, the premise of the project is to create an album of up and coming artists from various genres and give them a platform to showcase their music to audiences they may not have yet reached and make money in the process. They also keep all the rights to their music, so everything is designed to benefit the artist. We want to make sure that the artists involved get as much coverage as possible so we are asking people to help us fund the marketing and promotion of this album by sending donations via Rocket Hub or PayPal. There are some nice incentives if you choose to donate via Rocket Hub. Click the link above to check them out.

The goal is to help up and coming artists fulfill their creative dreams and of course build a successful company. Nothing is done solo, so your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading.

Keep 'em Coming!

Response to this project has been great; despite the lack of promotion. My team and I are happy to announce that we have one up and coming artist who has confirmed! The signed contract is in the mail. We are also still digging through all of the Sonicbids submissions. We are finding that a number of the international submissions are far better than most of the U.S. submissions-especially in the genres of Rock and Pop. Unfortunately, a great number of Hip Hop submissions are sub par at best. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, this will change. Keep an eye out for links and info regarding the progression of this project as will as links on how you can get involved as a sponsor via Rockethub.com and PayPal.

If you are an artist or an artist rep, you can submit music via Sonicbids at the following link: Live Through Music compilation album

Submit Your Music via Sonicbids

The vision of the Live Through Music Compilation is to give up and coming artists a platform to get their music out to the masses. The goal here is to build a collaborative community of artists and companies so they can make great music and give their fans what they want; committed artists who care about their fans and their craft.

This compilation CD will be released digitally only, and will be released in the Spring/Summer of 2012. Artists do not have to pay a fee to have their music included on this compilation. The artists will also be paid royalties for any sales of their individual tracks and the album as a whole; relative to the number of tracks submitted. The artists retain ownership of their publishing, Vicariously Victorious Music will not ask for any publishing monies.
